It's time again to party and what better way to celebrate than with a themed party? And just in case you thought it would be any old theme, think again! Our theme for this party is Indiana Jones, that bold adventurer continuously on the trail of some mystical treasure. So get your pen and paper and get ready to make some notes. But first, a little more about the man and the character, Indiana Jones.
There's one thing that Indiana Jones and Star Wars, among others, have in common: they were both created by George Lucas. The Indiana Jones films tell the stories of the adventures of Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, also known as "Indy" to his friends who is a professor at Marshall University in Connecticut (fictional).
First released in 1981, Raiders of the Lost Ark is focused around the mystery of the Ark of the Covenant which is said to contain immense powers that could spell ruin in the wrong hands. And in this case, the wrong hands are those of the Nazis. Indy journeys to South America, Africa and the Far East in a bid to find the treasure first and thus save the lives of many people.
And if that wasn't action packed enough for you, then the second film will definitely be. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was released three years later, in 1984. It tells of another of Indy's exploits, this time in India where villagers believe that demons are stealing their children after one of their sacred stones disappeared. Indiana Jones has to battle Thuggee, a priest in the Temple of Doom who believes that the stones will help him take over the world.
Second to last of the Indiana Jones films is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Indy is put against the Nazis again to find the Holy Grail. As we all know, Indy saves the day and gets the girl, just like a proper hero should.
And finally we have Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. In this installment Indiana has to retrieve a crystal skull that belongs to an alien race. However this time it's not the Nazis against him, but the Soviet Union. Again, Indy takes us from country to country in his quests and never fails to disappoint.
And on that note, it's time to party!
Below you will find some useful ideas
for Indiana Jones Party invitations. Should you require any of the
materials or items necessary, just ask your parents to help by
purchasing them from a retail store in your area or from the
internet. And remember, including the following information in your

they need.

Additional information…
This invitation will put you and your friends in the Indiana Jones spirit! From the appropriate local retailer or from the internet, purchase an Indiana Jones felt hat (toy version) for each of your friends. Once you have the hats, you will have to make paper invitations that will contain the details of your party. Be creative with this and think of the various Indiana Jones films for inspiration. Ideas for invitation card shapes include skulls, arrows, snakes, etc. Just make sure that you use the appropriate Indiana Jones font when adding the name of your party.
Once everything is done, simply affix
the invitation to the hat and get ready to deliver them.
As you may well know, Indy often relies
on his whip to help him out of trouble. As it will make the perfect
party invitation for you and your fellow Indiana Jones admirers. Toy
versions of these whips an be bought from the appropriate retailer in
your area or directly from the internet. In addition to the whip, you
will want to make a small Indiana Jones -themed invitation card which
can then be attached to the whip itself.
Thinking of entering any dark caves or pyramids any time soon? Well if so, then you and your friends will definitely need some Indiana Jones flashlights to help you through your adventures.
For this invitation you will need to log on to the internet or go down to the appropriate retail store to get a flashlight for each of your friends. When you have the flash lights, just attach a small paper-based invitation. These can either be bought or self-made, but be sure that it is done in the correct font so as to convey the correct theme of the party.
While a full Indy outfit might be a bit
expensive, you can state the following on your invitations and let
your guests choose their own outfits: “Indiana Jones” or
“Adventurer”.
What decorations do you think would fit
in an Indiana Jones – themed party? Here are a couple of out ideas
that you can use and change as you want:
Mummies
Jungle (lots of plants and ferns)
Pyramids
Tombs
Spiders

Grails
As things were never too formal when
Indy was around, all you will really need to do is to introduce your
guests to each other as they arrive.
Indiana Jones gifts are of course
something that people will be able to keep forever and think back to
a really good time they had with friends. As such, you will need to
have a good think about what you want to get your friends as party

Time to get going with some cool
Indiana Jones party activities for you and your friends to enjoy.
Here are a couple we thought suitable to the occasion.
This is a game for as little as 4 people that will test skill and ingenuity.
First off, you and your friends have to divide in two groups and find an area large enough to play in. Then you have to decide on something to be used as a secret relic and which of the two groups will have the chance to hide it first.
Once everything is decided, it's time for fun and adventure! Each group has to set up base in an area obscured from the view of the other group. It is then the purpose of the one group to find and retrieve the relic to the best of their abilities. But be careful, it has to be done with skill and secrecy and daring maneuvers that will catch the other team off guard.
Add a little bit of spice to the game
by equipping yourselves with squirt guns and water balloons.
This game will require a rather large area with a number of safe hiding places and lots of running space.
One participant has to be selected as Indy and everyone else has to be equipped with squirt guns and/or water balloons. Now, everyone, including Indy has to go into hiding while someone else (like someone's parent) counts to 100. As soon as 100 is reached, everyone has to start looking for Indy. But be careful! If someone else looking for Indy sees you, then they are allowed to use their squirt guns or water balloons to eliminate you from the current round.
If someone finds Indy, then they are safe and can't be eliminated.
The game ends when everyone has found Indy. The first person to be
eliminated is Indy for the next round. Just note that Indy isn't
allowed to have a squirt gun or a water balloon.
All participants should divide into two teams and move to an area where they can run freely. The particular area should then be divided into two parts, one for each team. Now, each team will also have to nominate an Indy who will be the prisoner of the other team and is held in a prison area at the back of the other team's territory.
One person from each team has to try and run through the other team's
territory without being caught to get to the prisoner. Once the
prison has been reached, both Indy and the rescuer are safe. They
then have to devise a way to get back to their territory without
being caught. If they get caught, both of them are Indy and have to
wait for someone else to come and rescue them.
If you don't feel like running around, then pull up a couple of
chairs and get the popcorn because it's time for the Indiana Jones
film festival! Drop by your local DVD store and pick up one of each
film that you and your friends can enjoy.
Ooh, Indiana Jones food and drink. Now you have to keep in mind that Indy was a normal person who ate normal thing. But to make things interesting, why not give your foods and drinks some extraordinary scary names. Here are a couple of ideas”
