Below you’ll find some ideas for
Batman-themed party invitations which you are free to use to persuade
your guests to come. Should you need any of the materials and/or
equipment, just pop down to the appropriate supply store. Just be
sure to include the following details as to ensure that your guests
will have all the information they need.
Party Name: For a super party you will need a super name. Think in terms of “Fred’s Dark Knight Rumble”
Salutation
Date & Time
Venue/Location
Dress Code
Contact Details
Additional information…
For this invitation you’ll need a computer loaded with the appropriate software and a printer.
To start off, you’ll need to design
or download images (with the appropriate permission) that relate to
the Batman theme. Think in terms of the Bat-sign, Batman’s
insignia, etc.. Once you have your image, place it on the front of
your card (tip: use a card-design template) along with the name of
your party. On the inside of the card you’ll be listing the rest of
the details which your guests will have to know about.
Quite a simple, yet effective, invitation to make, Batman’s Torch will require a paper-based invitation for each of your guests as described under the Batman Design (though not too big) along with a torch for each of your guests.
To start with, cut out a number of Batman insignias using cardboard paper. For those who don’t fancy themselves experts at cutting, print an image of the Batman insignia and trace the outlines with a hard-tipped blunt pencil on top of the cardboard paper. This will supply you with the necessary shape which you can use as a template for your insignias. Now, take care to ensure that the insignia is small enough to fit over the torches’ lenses.
Once done, simply affix the insignia over the lens and test them in a dark room. If you were successful, the Batman insignia should be cast on walls and other surfaces when the torch is switched on.
Finally, simply attach the paper-based invitation to the torch and get ready to deliver them to your friends.
For those who want to go that extra
mile, why not make a pair of cardboard gauntlets that resemble
Batman’s and affix them to the exterior of the torch?
This invitation will require you to pop down to your local Batman merchandise retailer or look on the internet for a Batman mask for each of your friends. Once you have the masks, you will need to attach an invitation with all the necessary details. Alternatively you can use a nice font and write the party details on the inside of the mask.
Here’s what you put under the “Dress Code” section of your party: Batman characters. This will ensure that your guests arrive dressed as any of the many Batman characters that have featured over the years.
For your party decorations you’ll
have to keep a few things in mind:
Balloons of yellow, gray, purple, green.
Purple, green, red and black streamers
Batman’s Insignia on walls and ceilings (paste Batman insignias on lamps so that their shadows are cast on the furniture)
Batman posters
Tablecloths of black & yellow
& gray
Why not employ a family member or a friend to portray Alfred Pennyworth to greet your guests at the door in a posh English accent? This is sure to set the mood and make your guests feel more than welcome. Do note that if your guests don’t know each other, you will have to portray the elegant Bruce Wayne and introduce them to each other.
Party favors are those items which you
give your friends to thank them for coming to your party but also to
ensure that they remember the day for months afterwards. Here are a
couple of our ideas. Do note that if you need any of the items, you
will be able to get them from the appropriate retailer in your area
or from the internet.
Batman posters
Batman lamps
Batman stickers
Mugs
T-shirts
Banners
Picture frames
Batman needs a lot of skill and dexterity, which means that this game will be just the thing to test that between you and your friends.
To play this game you will need balloons (at least one per person playing) that have been filled with water.
The game is started everyone forming a circle, standing about 2 feet from each other. You then have to pass a balloon filled with water between each other, either in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction. After a complete pass around the circle has been completed, everyone has to take a step back, and then complete another pass around the circle. This is repeated until someone drops the balloon or until a bad pass is made. The guilty person is then eliminated from this round of the game and then replaced by someone else.
The winner of the game is obviously the
person who remains in the longest.
Seeing as there have been so many Batman characters over the years, why not have your own Batman fashion show?
To start off, all participants have to be split into groups. These groups then have to make a number of outfits using only materials at hand, such as magazines and newspapers. For structured outfits, use some wire to make the frame and then use some duct tape to stick the paper to the frame.
To make this activity a bit more
competitive, ensure that there is a first prize for the team with the
most original creation.
Here’s a game everyone will enjoy, and it’s purpose is to find the real Batman who could be dressed anyone of your guests. To start off, cut a piece of paper in as many squares as there are people playing and mark a single one of them with an ‘X’. Now place all the squares, including the one with the ‘X’ into a bag.
Once you and your guests are seated in a circle, pass the bag around, each of the players only taking one piece of paper. The one who has the ‘X’ is Batman, but should take care to conceal his (or her) identity.
For Batman to stay in the game, he or
she has to knock other opponents out by winking at them. But Batman’s
not allowed to be seen! All other players who haven’t been chosen
as Batman, should watch each other’s eyes to try and catch Batman.
If someone suspects who the Batman might be, he or she should say “I
see Batman!” and point out who they think is Batman. If they are
right, then Batman is knocked out and the game should start again.
However, if they are wrong, they are knocked out of the game.
For this game you and your friends will have to sit in a circle and nominate a Batman. The person nominated must then think of a secret message – not too long but not too short either. This message must then be whispered in the ear of the person to their left. That person then has to whisper the message in the ear of the person to their left, etc. Take care that the message may not be repeated.
As soon as the message gets to the person to Batman’s right, that person has to say aloud what he or she heard. That person is also the next Batman then.
Bruce Wayne is an elegant man and, one
would suppose, has an elegant menu full of some of the finest party

then simply have a look on the internet for some appropriate
recipes):

Mini pizza
Nachos
Tuna pasta salad
Cheesy nacho platter
